Ali Schaafsma
Director Absence Consulting
As the Director of Absence Consulting, Ali works with Brown & Brown Strategic Non-Medical Solution's (SNS) clients and account teams to navigate all aspects of absence programs, including disability, leave/family medical leave, day one, and ADA services. Ali’s expertise includes paid family and medical leave, claims service delivery, time-off, disability and leave plan assessment, design, comparator benchmarking, and vendor management. Ali has 15 years of experience in absence and disability management. Prior to SNS, Ali was in the vendor space where she served in a variety of roles spanning across leave of absence. Ali holds a Bachelor of Geology degree from Portland State University, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Moorhead State, and a Certified Professional Disability Management (CPDM) designation from the Disability Management Employer Coalition.
