SUMMARY:The End of the Outbreak Period and a Refresher on Wellness Programs
DESCRIPTION:The federal government plans to end much of the relief provided for under the original declaration of the COVID-19 National Emergency made on March 13\, 2020. On May 4\, 2020\, the federal government also released a notice that extended certain timeframes during the COVID-19 National Emergency declaration and subsequent Outbreak Period that affect both plan sponsors and plan participants of group health & welfare plans subject to ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code. With the upcoming end of the National Emergency and Outbreak Period\, many employers/plan sponsors will need to review the status of their current plan to ensure compliance with many of the rules employee health & welfare benefit plans will be subject to after the end of the National Emergency and related Outbreak Period. \nThis webinar will also provide helpful information on many of the rules surrounding health & welfare benefit plans that preceded the National Emergency.
