Brown & Brown Becomes an Executive Partner of the Black Insurance Industry Collective

We are pleased to announce that Brown & Brown has become an official Executive Partner of the Black Insurance Industry Collective (BIIC). This partnership highlights our unwavering commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the insurance industry.

Established in 2020 and affiliated with The Institutes, the Black Insurance Industry Collective™ (BIIC®) is the first industry-driven initiative solely dedicated to the development of Black professionals. BIIC aims to address the challenge of increasing the representation of people of color within the insurance industry. Its goal is to accelerate the advancement of Black professionals and significantly increase the representation of Black leaders at the executive level.

BIIC operates on three foundational pillars:

• Mentoring & Sponsorship: Offering guidance and support to Black professionals to help them navigate and succeed in their careers.
• Transformative Leadership: Equipping individuals with the skills and opportunities necessary to become influential leaders.
• Empowered Networking: Creating a robust network of Black professionals who can support each other and share opportunities.

By supporting the development of Black talent, BIIC provides essential educational, networking and training opportunities that empower individuals to achieve their full potential.

As an Executive Partner, Brown & Brown will actively contribute to BIIC's mission, helping to create a more inclusive and equitable industry. This collaboration reflects our ongoing efforts to promote diversity and champion initiatives that drive meaningful change and support the growth of underrepresented groups.
