Nicole Curcio
Pacific North Regional Financial Lines Manager at Chubb

Nicole Curcio is the Chubb Financial Lines Pacific North Regional Manager. She has been Underwriting Financial Lines with Chubb for the past 20 years. Nicole started her career at Chubb as an Underwriting Trainee in the Pleasanton, CA office and then worked in Atlanta, GA until 2010 when she moved to San Francisco and became a Senior Underwriter. In 2015, she became an Executive Underwriter and Subject Matter Expert on Private Equity Business. In 2020, she was promoted as the San Francisco Manager and the Regional Manager in 2022. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marymount College.

Sean Ray
Partner at Barran Liebman LLP

Sean Ray is a partner at Barran Liebman LLP, where he defends employers in complex employment matters and high stakes litigation, including discrimination complaints, sexual harassment lawsuits, retaliation claims, and wage and hour claims. He represents employers in state and district court, as well as before federal and state administrative agencies in Oregon and Washington, such as the EEOC, BOLI, and the Washington State Human Rights Commission. He also works with employers to ensure compliance with changes in the law through well-crafted employee handbooks and customized trainings. Sean is committed to supporting the Ronald McDonald House of Charities, serving on their Governing Board for Oregon & SW Washington, and he is a past recipient of the Multnomah Bar Association Young Lawyers Section’s Award of Merit. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portland and his J.D. at the University of Oregon School of Law. In addition to being licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington, Sean is a Registered United States Patent Attorney.

Emily Velasquez
HCM Account Executive at Paylocity

Emily Velasquez is an HRIS consultant with Paylocity.  She is passionate about enhancing the employee experience through technology while maintaining strict employer compliance standards through streamlined process improvement. In her role as an HCM leader in the Portland market with Paylocity, Emily leverages her experience as a former business owner, which provides her with a comprehensive understanding of the risks and responsibilities associated with business operations and employee management at all levels.  Emily holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from California State University of Long Beach.
